About the Author

First published as a poet at age eleven, Dolores Harrell has spent most of her professional life doing practically everything but writing. Her first book, FUDDLE CUP (2011), was written on accident while recovering from illness. What started as a series of letters and proverbs intended as a legacy to her future grandchildren should she never meet them, is now FUDDLE CUP in its Second Print edition (2013).

Her writing's unique perspective stems from an unusual background and contrasting life experiences, rivaling the likes of Forrest Gump. Starting from humble beginnings as a first generation American with parents from opposite sides of the globe, Dolores' 25+ years of work as a serial entrepreneur eventually led her to perform over 30 brand launches and business openings in a variety of industries worldwide. Best known for her ability to create personalized, transformational experiences, Dolores' experience design work has been lauded by the press, celebrities, heads of state, and royalty -- receiving awards from Travel+Leisure, Conde Nast, Bon Appetit, Wine Spectator, Business Journals, The NAA, and even The White House.

In human development, she has created and instructed programs for thousands in all levels of learning — from Children’s Theatre to Fortune 500 executives. She is also a certified nutritionist, yoga instructor, USA Track and Field Association member, American Council on Exercise personal trainer, and award-winning public speaker.
Dolores currently resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband Philip. While her grandchildren are still in the future, she keeps regular tabs on her three children: Brendan, Francesca, and Avana.
